As a result of the ongoing war on our neighborsów, many refugeesów have flowed into our country. Those fleeing the invasion can count on help from the Polish government. What kind of funding can they receive?
The invasion of Ukraine took everyone by surprise, and by the sudden influx of refugeesów quick and decisive action was needed. Volunteers immediately set out for the border, and collections of foodórs and hygiene supplies were organized in many parts of Poland. However, the refugees also needed accommodation and, in the long run, financial support, as it is known that they will stay in Poland for longer. Therefore, taking into account these exceptional circumstances, in March the government prepared a new law. Thanks to it, Ukrainians are to have easier access to the labor market and receive financial support. What does this government assistance for families include?
Family allowance in Poland for Ukrainiansów
Among the benefits available to Ukrainians is a family allowance. To receive it, one must meet the same conditions as Poles. As the law states, family benefits are available to those families where the incomeód per family member is less than PLN 674, or PLN 764 if there is a disabled child in the family. The allowance itself can vary in amount depending on the age of the child. It ranges from PLN 96 to PLN 135 per month.
In order to receive the allowance, refugees must apply from e-banking, Social Security or through the Emp@atia portal. To streamline the process, the government has decided to shortenóthe time it takes to assign a PESEL number to Ukrainians.
Benefits thatóre available to refugees from Ukraine
Family allowance is not the only financial assistance the government has prepared. As well as Poles will have access to benefitsów from the 500+ program. Here róalso there will be no income threshold, the important thing is that the applicant has a PESEL number. There will also be a housing subsidy of about PLN 200 per month, but unlike 500+, the benefit will be determined by income. What other subsidies for Ukrainiansów are available?
300 plus for Ukrainiansów
Refugees whoóve registered in the PESEL registry and are legally residing in Poland can receive the 300+ benefit. Unlike previous benefits, 300+ is not a permanent allowance, but a one-time payment. Significantly, this financial support is only available to refugeesówhoóve come to Poland directly from Ukraine or have a Pole's Card. The 300+ should be applied for at the municipality office. All you need is a completed application, where, in addition to personal data, you will need to provide the date of arrival, the number of the document allowing you to cross the border and your PESEL number.
Not once there is a question about how long the various benefits will be granted for. Currently, there are no regulationsóre that specify this. What is known, however, is that the 300+ benefit is a one-time benefit, while the 500+ is to be on the same basis as for Polesów. This means that it should continue to accrue until the child is of age.
